    Technical training-cum-feedback session for MMPCRK (Mukh Mantri Punjab Cancer Rahat Kosh) Portal

    A refresher technical training-cum-feedback session for the officials of private empanelled hospitals was held on 25.09.2019 at the office of Directorate of health Services by NIC Punjab. About 40 para-medical officials from all the private hospitals empanelled for the MMPCRK programme attended the session along with officers/officials from Directorate of Health Services.
    Mukh Mantri Punjab Cancer Raahat Kosh Scheme (MMPCRK) is an initiative of Govt of Punjab that provides cashless treatment up to the amount of Rs. 1.5 Lakh to needy cancer patients of Punjab who are not covered under any other scheme. MMPCRK is a single point portal to cater the requirements of all the stake holders which include Govt. Hospitals and Medical Colleges, Private empanelled Hospitals, Autonomous Hospitals, Civil Surgeons Office, District Cancer Committee and Directorate of Health Services.MMPCRK is designed and developed by NIC Punjab in-house entirely using open source technologies (PHP, PostgreSQL). Since its inception, MMPCRK Portal has already captured more than 8500 cases including the entire workflow, scanned supporting documents (photographs, Id proofs etc.), history of cases with tests & medications / treatment. It is highly successful applications catering the needs of patients suffering from cancer
    diseases and as a digitalization platform for all agencies involved in the workflow.During his welcome address State Programme officer (Cancer Cell) explained the importance of the training
    session and asked all the participants to freely discuss all technical/non-technical problems/queries regarding the portal & scheme. At the outset, the role of each stake holder like Hospital, Civil Surgeon, District Cancer Committee , Pharmacist and DHS was explained.The complete flow of the application was demonstrated that included Filling of application by Hospital,
    Uploading of Various document and freezing of estimate. All the steps up-to the approval/rejection of an application by Director Health Services (DHS) and all the options like locking of time bound cases, unlocking of time bound cases by DHS, generation of Pre-facto sanction, printing of Pre-facto sanction, generation of Postfacto sanction, generation of bank letter were explained. The submission of Utilization Certificate (UC) by Hospital, approval by CS, allotment of UC to Pharmacist and final approval by DHS Office were also detailed out.Apart from that, new features like transfer of case from one hospital to another hospital, Second Estimate submission and approval, Re-sanctioning of a case, tracking the application for all the information by patients
    were also demonstrated and explained in detail. During Q&A session, all the technical and non-technical queries raised by the participants were answered satisfactorily by officers from NIC Punjab and DHS office.The session was conducted by Sh. Vikram Jeet Grover SrTD and ASIO(State), Sh. Gurdev Singh SrTD and Sh.Virender Dhanda Scientist-“B” from NIC Punjab.
    At the end, the State Programme Officer (Cancer Cell) gave vote of thanks and thanked all the participants. After the conclusion of session, Director Punjab Health Service held a meeting with NIC Officers and DHS officers to review the implementation status of the project & various features in the portal that includes recently introduced online tracking of a case by any patient on the portal authenticated by OTP and appreciated the efforts of all involved.
