Workshop-cum-Training on Integrated Solutions for Recruitment for Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSCISR)
On the request of Punjab Public Service Commission, NIC Punjab organized a two days Workshop-cum-training on Integrated Solutions for Recruitment for Punjab Public Service Commission( PPSCISR) application portal for 17 PPSC Officers at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA) Chandigarh. The workshop was organized under the guidance of Sh. Vivek Verma, SIO and Sh. Vikram Jeet Grover, ASIO NIC Punjab.

Smt. Simerpreet Kaur, Secretary, PPSC addressed the participants and appreciated the NIC Officers for developing and implementing state-of-art software for smooth functioning of the PPSC.

Sh. Dharmesh Kumar Sr. Director (IT) & HoD presented his view point and spoke about the importance of PPSCISR application and technologies used to provide the solution for managing internal workflow of the Punjab Public Service Commission. He also interacted with each participant to get feedback for further enhancement of the application.
Sh. Rajesh Thapa, JD(IT), NIC Punjab interacted with participants of PPSC office and briefed about the advantages of PPSCISR and provided detailed training on various software modules of PPSCISR.

On closing, a feedback session was held to address various queries raised by the officers of PPSC.

PPSCISR is a configurable application that allows Creation of various types of Advertisements, Publishing /Closing of Advertisements as per defined schedule, on-line registration by the candidates , offline registration facility under admin panel, Online payment through PFMS, online generation of admit cards & roll numbers Centre Wise, Centre Wise availability of list of eligible candidates and allotment of test venue.
It also allows PPSC to monitor, manage, modify, approve and reject the data as per requirement, through admin control panel at any stage. The PPSCISR portal is based on specifically designed/developed CMS (Content Management System), which enables the commission to perform various activities based on the roles.
The role-based CMS requires no dependency of the user department for website administration or for updating details anytime. All the activities have provisions for Approval/Rejection at every stage.
It also allows generation of various types of MIS reports and dashboard for senior management.
Integration of email as well as SMS has been incorporated in PPSCISR for information dissemination such as Intimation on successful registration, receipt of payment and generation of admit card/exam centre/venue to candidates.
